Botanique Preservation Equipment, Inc. owner - Richard DeLong - is the recognized leader in technology in the Floral Freeze Drying Industry. Mr. DeLong (MS in Science Education) established Botanique in 1989 when he could not find the quality Floral Freeze Drying Machines he needed for his wholesale freeze dried business. He has over 30 years floral experience in retail, wholesale, importing, and manufacturing.

Rich owned and operated a large freeze dried production facility for eight years. This facility produced millions of freeze dried flowers which were distributed nationally though all the major gift markets. His expertise may be very helpful in answering your freeze dry questions.

Tom Krause - Cryogenic Technician 

Our Chief Cryogenic Technician is Mr. Tom Krause.  With over 30 years experience in machine electrical and refrigeration design, build, and repair experience, Tom is responsible for building all our new floral freeze dryers. He also is involved in the exact refurbishment of previously owned freeze dryers.


Kate DeLong - Training Designer 

Our Training Designer, Kate, literally grew up in the business of freeze drying flowers. Her parents kept her entertained at the age of 5 by giving her blocks of floral foam, freeze dried flowers, and artificial butterflies to play with. Now with multiple degrees in Photography and Interior Design, she is the owner of Preserve Your Flowers, LLC. During our training course, her artistic background and key for design become a very important part to the mentoring of our clients. 


Anne Arkfeld - CFO 

Our Chief Financial Officer, Anne Arkfeld, has been with our company for nearly 3 years. Anne started her career with ConAgra, and then Continental Grain in Omaha, NE. Anne then went back to school at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. After graduation, she spent 25 years in education. One of her "claims to fame" is that she is extremely detail oriented. We are proud to have Anne as part of the Botanique Team.
